Outstanding Contribution Award
This award recognises and honours BAP members or staff who have made exceptional contributions to the BAP in, for example, advocacy, clinical practice, citizenship, teaching and knowledge translation or any such relevant area and whose exceptional service merits special recognition. The recipient will usually have been a long-standing member of the BAP but not necessarily a regular attendee at the annual meeting. The recipient will be invited to the annual meeting to receive a medal, certificate and complimentary registration and finance to cover travel and accommodation for up to two nights to attend the conference at which they will receive the award. The award will be announced at the conference annual dinner, but the recipient will not be expected to deliver an address.
Nominations are now open for the 2020 Outstanding Contribution Award which will be presented at our annual meeting of the British Association for Psychopharmacology (BAP) in London 19-22 July 2020.
Nominations are invited from any Member of the BAP and will be reviewed by a sub-committee of Council comprising the Director of Education, President, Treasurer and General Secretary and then approved by the full BAP Council.
Nominations should be emailed to and should comprise a short citation about the nominee (max 400 words).
- Those serving on BAP Council are not eligible. They will become eligible one year after leaving Council.
- Those serving on the BAP Governance Panel are not eligible. They will become eligible one year after leaving the Panel.
- Self-nominations are not permitted.
